The Quebec sectoral clusters have decided to consolidate their commitment to sustainable development through an inter-cluster action plan. This plan was prepared based on the collection of data on initiatives already undertaken by the clusters or those they would be willing to implement. Discussions then allowed the establishment of the priority actions to include in the action plan. For this first experimental phase, the action plan focused on the environmental aspect of sustainable development. Internal initiatives were prioritized in order to first demonstrate the authenticity of the approach. The action plan is expected to evolve over time according to the progress of each cluster and the sharing carried out in the inter-cluster working group. We invite you to discover the contents of the action plan :

Explanations on sustainable development
Sustainable development, according to the United Nations (United Nations Commission on Environment and Development / Brundtland Commission, 1987), is defined as "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." It is based on three inseparable dimensions of development activities: environmental protection, social inclusion and economic growth.
In 2015, the United Nations proposed 17 sustainable development goals to guide the action of organizations and citizens worldwide in order to initiate measures for a more sustainable world by 2030.
