OUR SECTORS

A sector encompasses all the steps required to manufacture a product. In concrete terms, for the electric and smart transportation (EST) industry this consists of extracting the minerals required for the batteries, designing the vehicle, including manufacture and assembly, developing the driving software, establishing charging infrastructure and connectivity infrastructure allowing for the deployment of autonomous vehicles, new mobility services (car sharing, ride sharing, MaaS, etc.), managing operations related to commercial fleets, and so much more!

Propulsion Québec’s activities focus on the development of three priority sectors to build sustainable and efficient models for our industry:

  • Our government has set ambitious environmental objectives that support the electric transition of transportation, for example, by stopping the sale of new thermal propulsion vehicles (gas or diesel) by 2035.
