General description

Algorithm and signal and image processing designers/specialists have the expertise and ability to break new ground in applied research in algorithm design and signal and image processing. They are key members of a highly qualified team and can leverage a wide range of expertise on a daily basis in addition to tackling exciting and varied challenges in the vehicle automation process.

Examples of tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct literature surveys and research concepts and product algorithms and share the findings
  • Plan and develop algorithm testing processes and evaluation methods
  • Design, prototype, and characterize 2D/3D data processing and vision algorithms (data acquisition [LiDAR cloud points], image processing, signal processing, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, data fusion, and probabilistic modeling)[LiDAR cloud points]
  • Implement and document C/C++ vision system software and embedded platforms
  • Design complex code with the Python programming language

Required skills

  • Programming skills (Python, C, C++, Tensorflow, etc.)
  • Skills for developing computer vision and artificial intelligence algorithms
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks, model architecture design, training methodologies, and data management
  • Ability to learn about and carry out independent R&D activities on specific topics, e.g., advanced driver assistance systems
  • Ability to be proactive and understand the technical aspects of advanced technology
