Several companies in the electric and intelligent transportation (EIT) sector recruited employees and/or interns as part of the first edition of RDV En route, the careers and training fair for the electric and intelligent transportation sector, held virtually by Propulsion Québec on March 29 and 30, 2021. Here is Transdev's success story.
Transdev, a global operator and integrator of mobility solutions in Canada and 17 other countries, participated in RDV En route. Through this networking activity and virtual fair aimed at promoting the promising careers of the EIT sector, the company met Thomas, who landed an internship in the performance department. Hired for the summer, his internship will end in September when he returns to school to pursue his master's in project management. Thomas is a recent graduate of Polytechnique Montréal in mechanical engineering. He works on various electrification projects for Transdev's fleet as well as on charging management.
"I met Thomas through our virtual booth. I presented Transdev to him, the challenges of our company and I believe I piqued his curiosity. We created an intern position for him after introducing him to our vice-president of performance because the FIT was really perfect!" notes Martin Blanchette, talent acquisition and development manager at Transdev.
