There are different occupational streams for operators in the electric and intelligent transportation industry. Theassembly operatorensures the complete assembly of lithium batteries. Thespecialized operator, meanwhile, performs the preparation and mixing of raw materials for the manufacture of lithium batteries. Theassembly operator performs various tasks, such as:

  • Operate various high‑tech equipment;
  • Adjust equipment parameters according to work instructions;
  • Prepare equipment for work;
  • Assemble and inspect electronic components;
  • Crimp covers, fill and perform leak tests;
  • Install and validate electronic boards;
  • Carry out the wiring of high‑voltage packs.

Thespecialized operator performs the following specific tasks:

  • Operate various production equipment;
  • Align materials and adjust equipment parameters according to work instructions;
  • Check and inspect product quality in accordance with standards;
  • Handle and store materials and products.

Some functions are part of the daily routine of both types of positions, namely:

  • Complete reports;
  • Make observations and recommendations relevant to product improvement;

Training required to practice this profession

For anassembly operator, hiring a candidate is based on 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment and on high‑precision equipment. However, a high school diploma is required. For aspecialized operator, a college diploma (DEC), a college studies attestation (AEC) or a vocational diploma (DEP) in chemistry, plastics processing, metallurgy, production equipment operations or a related discipline is required.
