Our mandates The ARTM must heed the instructions of the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to promote intermodality, public transit and a safe, accessible, equitable and efficient transportation offer. To do so, it must - plan and establish a transportation offer that meets the needs of public transit users, including those with reduced mobility; - coordinate public transit services throughout the territory, taking steps to improve and integrate them; - sustain metropolitan funding for public transit, while ensuring rigorous and responsible management of resources; - implement measures to promote traffic flow on - the metropolitan arterial metropolitan arterial network; - study and plan the maintenance, improvement or replacement of public transit equipment and infrastructure; -manage public transit assets and infrastructure. - Promote public transit, active transportation and carpooling, and contribute to the emergence of a culture of sustainable mobility; - perform any other function entrusted to it by the Government of Québec, the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility or the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM).
