CAPSolar's vision is to accelerate the world's transition towards cleaner transportation. Its instrument: everlasting Solar Power. Solar Power is the world's largest source of energy (by far) and we believe that it should be used in all applications possible. Our focus: Mobility. CAPSolar currently develops a first-of-its-kind, add-on solar module designed exclusively for Low Speed Electric Vehicles (LSEVs), ranging from golf carts to neighborhood electric vehicles used for micro-transit. It will boost their efficiency by extending their range, battery life and by offsetting the infamous parasitic current drain LSEVs are prone to, which will all help in the management optimization of businesses with LSEV fleets.

Chaire sur la décarbonisation / UQAM
Member: Institutional
The Chair in Decarbonization is a strategic research unit of ESG-UQAM whose objective is to build bridges between the different analytical and methodological approaches to research on decarbonization, including: research on its technical aspects such as econometrics and modeling of transport, energy or land use systems, research focused on the comparative politics of decarbonization and finally research on global cooperation in climate policy. Decarbonization consists of reconfiguring socio-economic systems centered on fossil fuels and on unsustainable land use in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Decarbonization therefore involves significant changes in the social, technical, economic and political systems that underpin modern societies while proposing new forms of development that could serve as models for developing societies.
