INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT ON ELECTRIC AND INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTS
Propulsion Québec, the industry cluster for electric and intelligent transportation, today kicks offImpulsion 2025, the largest international summit dedicated to zero-emission transportation in Canada. Co-presented byHydro-Québecand theVolvo Groupand made possible thanks to the financial participation of the Government of Quebec, this major event, taking place on March 31 and April 1 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, brings together the sector’s leaders and experts to accelerate the electrification of transportation.
Impulsion 2025 invites Sweden as the country of honour and hosts several international delegations from France to Brazil, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the United States, Chile and South Korea.
Conferences on the state of electric transportation and the impact of customs tariffs
Starting March 31,a press conferencewill outline the current state of transportation electrification in Quebec. Key industry players from the zero-emission vehicle, battery and charging infrastructure sectors will speak about their growth ambitions for the next two years.
Astrategic luncheon onthe impact of U.S. trade policies on the economy and the energy transitionwill also take place. Two renowned speakers will analyze the issues and opportunities for Quebec:
- Christine Fréchette – Member of the National Assembly for Sanguinet, Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Energy; Minister responsible for Regional Economic Development; Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montreal region, Government of Quebec
- Jean Charest – Partner, former Premier of Quebec (2003–2012) and Deputy Prime Minister of Canada (1993), Therrien, Couture, Joli-Cœur

Quebec’s industry cluster for electric and intelligent transportation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the growth of Quebec’s zero-emission land transportation industry and strengthen its international competitiveness. It was created in 2017 and today has more than 215 member organizations of the electric and intelligent transportation ecosystem that it represents and mobilizes around initiatives.
