That's a start!

It's official — the NAVYA electric autonomous shuttle is now in service in Candiac!

The citizens of Candiac, public transit users and all the curious and interested are therefore invited to go try it out now.

As the first long-term demonstration project of an electric autonomous shuttle on public roads in Canada, the autonomous shuttle operated by Kéolis will run for a period of 12 months, the duration of the pilot project, of which nearly 8 months will be dedicated to serving citizens. During the winter period, a research and development project on the shuttle's ability to adapt to Quebec winters will take place with no passengers on board.

Let us recall that the project was made possible thanks to the financial support and contribution of expertise from the Government of Québec, as well as the collaboration and support of Propulsion Québec and the IVÉO Technopole.

In short, this first electric autonomous shuttle project on public roads is important for the entire ecosystem of electric and smart transportation in Québec. In addition to giving us excellent international visibility, it provides experience and data that will be crucial to the success of all future projects and to the development of the autonomous transport industry in Québec.

A great achievement that we can all be proud of!
