Call for interest: Building the future of transport and logistics with the City of Sustainable Mobility

Propulsion Québec, in collaboration with CargoM, is launching a call for expressions of interest to stakeholders in the transportation and logistics ecosystem in order to collect your proposals for innovative projects that will contribute to the sector's transformation and to the development of the City of Sustainable Mobility.

The transformation of modes and travel habits is underway thanks to the advent of electrification and smart solutions. Changes in consumption habits and the transformation of global supply chains are putting increasing pressure on the logistics industry. The industry must have the capacity to innovate to meet these growing challenges.

Our ambition is for Quebec to become a global reference in transport and logistics innovation. To do so, we want to bring together within a single point of access the expertise, infrastructure and partners necessary to offer a continuum of services to companies and thus accompany them from idea to market. This service continuum will be offered thanks to the resources developed within the City of Sustainable Mobility. It will help stimulate the realization of collaborative projects between industry and researchers.

Call for expressions of interest: Developing the capabilities and expertise of tomorrow

In order to identify the needs of ecosystem stakeholders and the resources necessary to support their innovation projects, Propulsion Québec, in collaboration with CargoM is launching a call for expressions of interest. This initiative is intended for all public and private organizations that wish to develop innovative projects or find a solution to the challenges they face.

Participate in the transformation of mobility and contribute to the development of the City of Sustainable Mobility by sharing your project ideas or your challenges.

Submission deadline: December 10, 2021 – 4:00 PM (EST)

Fill out the form below to submit your projects or challenges.

The City of Sustainable Mobility aims to build an initial portfolio of innovation projects to support. The collection of these projects will help clarify the needs and capacities to be deployed in the City of Sustainable Mobility's hubs (equipment, laboratory, living labs, etc.) by 2023.

Selected projects will then be supported and assisted in their planning and development within the City of Sustainable Mobility (networking, search for co-funding, complementary resources) during a second phase (spring–summer 2022).

Eligible projects

The City of Sustainable Mobility seeks to catalyze innovation projects related to the transport of people, goods, or mobility services.

Projects must be related to one of the following themes to support the 2030 vision adopted by the Quebec ecosystem:

  • Enhance and optimize supply chain capabilities
  • Enable smarter, more efficient and safer electrification of public and private vehicle and rolling stock fleets
  • Develop the green battery of the future
  • Reduce the negative externalities of urban delivery
  • Improve the quality, safety, experience and fluidity of passenger transport services
  • Increase the safety and reliability of connected or autonomous vehicles
  • Put in place capabilities for secure collection, storage, and sharing of transport and mobility data
  • Increase the agility and manufacturing capacities of EV manufacturers

The call for expressions of interest is open to companies, groups, research chairs or institutes, non-profit organizations, transport companies, municipalities or government agencies. The organization must provide the necessary information about its project or challenge so that it can be evaluated. An organization may submit multiple projects or challenges.

An evaluation will be carried out as projects are received in order to identify those selected for a second phase (support). The evaluation criteria are described in the document of support.
