Astus – Proud to support IMPULSION MTL 2021
With more than 25 years of expertise in the field of vehicle telematics, Astus is now a key player in the energy and digital transition of mobility and transport. Last May, as soon as the announcement of the addition of a new independent Board of Directors and the arrival of Mr. Benoit Lacroix as CEO, Astus is rolling out its growth strategy at full speed to propel the company as a partner of choice as a provider of connectivity and data enhancement services to the heavy and light vehicle fleets and manufacturers.
This new phase of ASTUS’ growth strategy is supported by a solid shareholder base led by Communauto. The company can also count on a Board of Directors composed of experts in the technology and fleet management sectors.
Mr. Benoit Robert, CEO and founder of Communauto, is very enthusiastic about the company’s development: “We have been Astus customers for nearly twenty years now, and it is thanks to their technology that we have been able to evolve into what we are today,” says Benoit Robert.
For his part, the new president, Mr. Benoit Lacroix, brings more than 15 years of experience in the fields of data valorization as well as transportation electrification. Prior to joining Astus, Benoit was highly involved in the innovation process, in financing as well as in the strategic and commercial development activities of Effenco, a company he co-founded in 2006 and which is now a leading player in heavy-duty truck electrification. Benoit holds a PhD in engineering from the École de technologie supérieure (ETS); his thesis focused on optimizing the energy efficiency of commercial vehicles using advanced data analysis techniques.
“Our involvement with Impulsion Montréal is part of our vision to promote data valorization and accelerate the electrification of transportation in Quebec. It’s a great platform to engage with a multitude of experts on a variety of operational, regulatory and technical issues that excite us and motivate us every day,” says Mr. Lacroix.
Major contributor to several pilot projects in transport electrification in Europe and Canada, Astus is proud to partner with Impulsion Montréal to accelerate the energy transition of Quebec and Canadian fleets and thus develop local expertise that will make us shine collectively in this cutting-edge sector.
