The E-SMART system determines vehicle location in real time to actively manage the maximum speed that the truck can attain in the respective posted speed zone. This Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA), also known as Active Speed Management (ASM) or Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) reduces incidents of speeding by more than 88%. The ability to govern the speed to each speed zone in real time allows for control of speed in all locations. The E-SMART technology also detects low bridges and alerts the driver of a potential low bridge in order to avoid bridge strikes. Customers have seen incidents of bridge strikes all but disappear.
