Montreal, September 29, 2020 — Propulsion Québec, the cluster for electric and intelligent transportation (EIT), is pleased to announce a new partnership with Québecor, a Canadian leader in telecommunications, media and entertainment. This three-year partnership will, on the one hand, allow Québecor to strengthen its involvement in the development of the electric and intelligent transportation ecosystem, and on the other hand will enable Propulsion Québec to accompany and support the company in its plan to electrify its vehicle fleet.

For many years, Québecor has demonstrated a strong commitment to combating climate change. A member of the cluster since January 2020, Québecor announced this year, at a press conference held jointly with Propulsion Québec, its action plan to accelerate the electrification of its entire fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles, which already includes nearly 40 electric cars. This plan will focus on converting the gasoline engines of its light trucks to electric motors as well as on purchasing electric cars.

Today, through its status as a partner of Propulsion Québec, Québecor reiterates its support and commitment to the cluster and strengthens its contribution to improving mobility and the quality of life of millions of Quebecers and Canadians.

This strategic partnership makes Québecor a key contributor to the 2nd edition of IMPULSION MTL, an international forum on fleet management organized by Propulsion Québec that will launch on October 27. By 2023, Québecor will collaborate closely with the electric and intelligent vehicles cluster on various study projects and outreach activities for this ecosystem.
