Propulsion Québec welcomes the relaunch of the Écocamionnage program

Montreal, December 2, 2025 - Propulsion Québec welcomes the re-launch of the Écocamionnage program until 2028, announced today by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Jonatan Julien, and the Minister of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks, Bernard Drainville.

As part of its participation in the consultation on Quebec's GHG reduction targets, the cluster points out that transportation remains the province's main GHG emitter, and that greater efforts are needed in this sector. The Écocamionnage program is a concrete example of an ambitious and structuring measure.

This program has been long-awaited by the industry to support companies in their transition to zero-emission mobility. Several operators will now be able to pursue their ambitions and commitments in terms of carbon-free delivery.

"The return of Ecocamionnage finally sends a clear signal. Carriers are ready to invest, and the solutions are available. This relaunch provides the impetus needed to reduce emissions while strengthening the competitiveness of companies," says Alexis Laprés-Paradis, interim CEO of Propulsion Québec.

"For the past year, Propulsion Québec has been working tirelessly, alongside committed partners such as the Association du Camionnage du Québec and Electric Mobility Canada, to ensure the return of Écocamionnage. This revival is the fruit of a collective effort and a shared conviction: Quebec can and must remain a leader in the decarbonization of heavy transportation. By joining forces, we have reinforced the importance of accelerating the transition, supporting our carriers and strengthening a strategic sector for the Quebec economy," adds Alexis Laprés-Paradis, interim CEO of Propulsion Québec.
