Montreal, November 23, 2020 — Propulsion Québec, the cluster for electric and intelligent transportation (EIT), is pleased to announce the merger of the Pôle d’excellence québécois en transport terrestre and Propulsion Québec. This union enables the consolidation of Quebec’s land transportation ecosystem, positioned as a strategic driver of recovery for a sustainable and prosperous economy.

In light of the Quebec government’s clear desire to bring together all actors in the transportation supply chain, Propulsion Québec has been mandated to unite the strengths of the two organizations into one in order to strengthen the global positioning of Quebec’s land-based, electric and intelligent transportation industry. Members of the Pôle d’excellence québécois en transport terrestre are therefore being welcomed as members of Propulsion Québec and will be contacted shortly to discuss their involvement in the new structure.

Aligned with the government’s vision of electrifying the economy as an engine of growth, the objective of this initiative is to create optimal coordination of actions by implementing a more coherent structure for electric and intelligent land transportation, while maintaining the leadership of the Propulsion Québec cluster.

About the Pôle d’excellence québécois en transport terrestre
