Participating in IMPULSION MTL 2021 is an opportunity for the Transport Credit Union to contribute to the evolution of the electric and intelligent transport sector, and more specifically to the transport of people and goods. “We wish to be a stakeholder and a serious player in the development of the electric and intelligent transport sector in Quebec. The desire to support trucking in its major sectoral challenges and in the future development of truck fleets is close to our hearts as we seek to become a leading transition actor,” explains Marc Blair, the general manager of the Caisse.
Sustainable development at the heart of our priorities
Furthermore, as a workers’ cooperative, we aim for sustainability in this sector, as well as the sustainable development of its workforce. We therefore seek every possible tool to influence the development of the transport industry in a sustainable manner.
Aware of the many innovations, we constantly deepen our knowledge of electrification and smart transportation by staying alert. The Caisse also aims to play the role of an institutional investor — that is, to invest sustainably in companies with a forward-looking vision and a capacity for change that aligns with the industry's development. In addition to our financial role, we also seek to diversify our community to create a strong, connected network.
Involved in our community
As a cooperative financial services organization belonging to the Desjardins Movement, the Caisse has a Community Development Assistance Fund (FADM) to support various projects to enrich the community through grants, donations and sponsorships, whether related to employment and the workforce in the transportation field, sustainable development, financial education or other areas. More than $600,000 will therefore be redistributed to support various structuring projects across the transport community.
