Appointment of Louis Tremblay as Chair of the Board of Directors

Propulsion Québec is pleased to announce the appointment of Louis Tremblay as chair of its board of directors. His involvement on the board will be an asset in continuing to mobilize all industry stakeholders and contribute to positioning Quebec among the world leaders in electric and intelligent transportation.

Louis Tremblay is president and chief executive officer of AddÉnergie and its subsidiary FLO. A pioneer of electric mobility in Canada, he co‑founded AddÉnergie in 2009 while he was still studying at Université Laval. Over the years, Mr. Tremblay has established himself as an influential and respected figure in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, as he positioned his company as a North American leader in EV charging solutions: the company manufactures charging stations and develops network management software for all markets (residential, commercial, public). AddÉnergie also operates FLO, the largest EV charging network in Canada, in addition to being the infrastructure provider and operator for third‑party networks, including le Circuit électrique (Québec) and le Réseau branché (New Brunswick). Today, AddÉnergie employs more than 150 people across 7 offices; its headquarters and national operations center are based in Quebec City, and all its products are assembled at its Shawinigan plant. The company also has offices in Montreal, Mississauga, Vancouver, San Francisco and New York.

Louis Tremblay holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Université Laval and pursued graduate studies in power electronics. In addition to chairing the board of directors of Propulsion Québec, he is also a member of the Generation Energy Council, a 14‑member committee established by Natural Resources Canada with the mandate to make recommendations on measures Canada can take to prepare for a low‑carbon economy.

So we’re not the only ones pleased about it,La Presse and Les Affaires also mentioned this good news!
