Montreal, January 12, 2026 -Propulsion Québec's Board of Directors announces the appointment of Alexis Laprés-Paradis as President and CEO of the electric and intelligent transportation cluster. He has held this position on an interim basis since last October, and will now lead the organization on a permanent basis.
"It's a privilege to continue this mandate at the head of Propulsion Québec. The transportation sector is going through a pivotal period: its decarbonization is well underway, enabling Quebec to capitalize on a major strategic advantage: our clean energy. I am fully committed to strengthening the mobilization of the ecosystem in order to accelerate the decarbonization of transportation, stimulate innovation and amplify the success of our companies," declared Alexis Laprés-Paradis.
Joining Propulsion Québec in April 2023, Alexis Laprés-Paradis has held a number of strategic positions, including Vice President, Development and Operations. In this capacity, he helped structure major partnerships, support the financing of structuring projects and bring about initiatives aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of transportation in Quebec. Prior to joining the cluster, he held general and financial management roles, notably at SmartHalo, and acted as a strategic advisor to cleantech companies.
"Over the past few months, Alexis has demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead the organization with rigor in a unifying spirit. He has risen brilliantly to the challenges of the interim, while staying the course in a demanding period for zero-emission transport. The Board of Directors has every confidence in him, and is convinced that he is the right person to guide Propulsion Québec through this decisive phase in its development," concluded Marie Hélène Cloutier, Chairman of the Board of Propulsion Québec and Executive Director - Mobility, Customers and Partners at EXO.
