Description

Heavy road vehicle mechanics for hybrid and electric vehicles work in several different types of companies, including component manufacturers (engine, transmission, etc.), new and used heavy road vehicle dealers and merchants, heavy road vehicle rental services, independent aftermarket repair shops, freight road transport companies and passenger transport companies (school buses and coaches), as well as businesses with maintenance and repair shops for heavy road transport trucks. This program prepares heavy vehicle mechanics to work on electrically propelled or hybrid-propelled vehicles and to perform maintenance and repair of electrical and electromechanical systems.

Admission requirements

To be admitted to the Heavy Road Vehicles Hybrid and Electric Mechanics program, you must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Heavy Road Vehicle Mechanics or its equivalent;
  • Hold a job or profession related to this program of study;
  • Have recognized equivalent learning.
