TES Canada’s Projet Mauricie represents a major step forward in Quebec’s energy transition and the fight against climate change. This initiative is located in the heart of the Mauricie, a region renowned as the cradle of hydroelectricity. We aim to build a green hydrogen production plant powered exclusively by renewable electricity. Once the plant is commissioned at the end of 2029, we will produce up to 70,000 tonnes of green hydrogen 100% of which will be used in Quebec, helping to decarbonize sectors of our economy that are hard to electrify. The project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 800,000 tonnes a year, attaining around 3% of Quebec’s reduction targets for 2030.
