Rebecca Kiernan is a Principal Resilience Planner with the City of Pittsburgh, focusing on building social, ecological, economic, and physical resilience to city-wide shocks and stresses. Her work includes developing and implementing initiatives such as the ONEPGH Resilience Strategy, Investment Prospectus and development of the ONEPGH Fund; the Pittsburgh Equity Indicators Reports; and Climate Adaptation Planning. She supports the City’s Climate Action Plan with a focus on urban ecosystems, circular economy, and vehicle electrification- and leads the City's EV task force in converting fleet vehicles and planning for public charging. She holds a BA from SUNY Geneseo, and an MS from Carnegie Mellon University. Rebecca is a board member of Three Rivers Waterkeepers and serves on the City’s Shade Tree Commission and Allegheny County Sanitary Authority's Municipal Advisory Committee.
