Hanane Dagdougui is an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering of Polytechnique Montreal and regular member of the GERAD (Group for Research in Decision analysis), CIRRELT (Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur les Réseaux d’Entreprise, la Logistique et le Transport) and RQEI (Réseau Québecois sur l’Energie Intelligente) research centers. Prior to joining the Polytechnique Montreal in 2017, she was a research assistant at the Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and System Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Genoa, and then institutional researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, ÉTS Montreal. Her research interests involve the algorithms, application of operational research and artificial intelligence. She is particularly interested in the applications of optimization and machine learning techniques to problems of smart grids, microgrids, buildings and electric vehicles charging infrastructures. Her research interests also include the techno-economic modeling and operational planning of renewable energy-based systems, demand response and electric transportation. She is the author and co-author of many books, chapter books and over 60 articles in reputed international journals and conferences.
