New York City’s Deputy Chief Fleet Management Officer, Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS)

Mr. Richardson serves as the liaison for DCAS to Mayor de Blasio’s Vision Zero Task Force and works in his role to implement the Vision Zero goals for NYC Fleet including the rollout of a citywide telematics system, the implementation of the Fleet Office of Realtime Tracking (FORT), managing the city’s defensive driving program, administering the Safe Fleet Transition Plan, and creating partnerships across other government fleets, non-profit organizations, and advocacy groups to encourage best practices for vehicle fleets.

Mr. Richardson recently wrote an article for the Vision Zero Cities International Journal of Traffic Innovation titled “Fleet Safety is Traffic Safety”

Mr. Richardson has worked at DCAS since October 2001 and coordinated National Guard and other assets in the wake of Superstorm Sandy in November 2012 managing an emergency fueling operation as the city recovered from the largest liquid fuels crisis in over 30 years. Mr. Richardson has a special affinity for Montreal spending many of his winter and summer youth vacations in Montreal, Quebec City, and Cochrane, Ontario visiting family and friends.
