Sustainable mobility advisor, Ministry of Transports (Québec)

Daniel Mailly holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in forest science from Laval University as well as a Ph.D. in modeling and forest ecology from the University of British Columbia. In 2011, Laval University also awarded him a MBA in modeling and organizational decision-making.

He started his career as a researcher in forest modeling within the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources. Later he joined the Ministry of Economy and Innovation as an innovation advisor, dealing in particular with issues related to climate change and the Ouranos consortium. Since June 2020, he holds a position as a sustainable mobility advisor within the Quebec Ministry of Transports. His work in sustainable mobility focuses mainly in supporting the ministry in its efforts with the electrification of vehicles, with issues related to energy efficiency and the reduction of greenhouse gases in the transport sector.
