CALSTART is a U.S.-based not-for-profit organization founded in 1992 with a worldwide member base that presently consists of 210 firms, fleets, and agencies that are dedicated to supporting a growing high-tech, clean transportation industry that cleans the air, creates jobs, cuts imported oil and reduces global warming emissions. CALSTART provides services and consulting to spur advanced transportation technologies, fuels, systems and the companies that make them. CALSTART has offices located throughout the United States in California, Colorado, Michigan, and New York. CALSTART works as a broker between public and private sector partners internationally to validate emerging vehicle technologies and to accelerate development of clean transportation markets. Recently, CALSTART launched the Global Commercial Vehicle Drive to Zero Program to bridge governments, fleets, and vehicle manufacturers across the world to stimulate markets for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. This multi-year was launched in September 2018 at the Global Climate Action Summit and CALSTART serves as Executive Secretariat to coordinate the development of policy and technology tools to activate these markets.
