Montreal,\u00a0October\u00a07,\u00a02020\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0Propulsion Qu\u00e9bec,\u00a0the\u00a0electric and smart transportation\u00a0cluster,\u00a0is delighted to announce the 2nd edition of\u00a0the\u00a0IMPULSION MTL\u00a0International\u00a0Fleet Forum.\u00a0Through a series of five activities taking place between October\u202f2020 and April\u202f2021, participants will have the opportunity\u00a0to learn more on different aspects of upgrading, managing and electrifying fleets.\u00a0The five activities\u00a0will\u00a0take place on\u00a0the following dates:\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

    The\u00a02020\u00a0edition of\u00a0IMPULSION MTL\u00a0is co-presented by the government of Quebec and organized in collaboration with the cities of New York\u00a0and\u00a0Chicago,\u00a0and\u00a0various partners, including\u00a0Quebecor, Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec\u00a0and\u00a0AttriX\u00a0GeoTab\u00a0Integrated Partner. It\u00a0will\u00a0bring\u00a0professionals and suppliers together around a common objective: upgrading fleets with new technologies and solutions to meet environmental, social, operational, and regulatory requirements. Participants will be invited to reflect together on industry best practices and have opportunities to learn more about concrete and tested solutions, discover new technologies, and seize tailored business opportunities.\u00a0A wide range of topics will be covered during\u00a0event activities, including:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

      There is more and more interest in Quebec and around the world in the large-scale deployment collision-free, zero-emission and high-performance fleets: this is nothing less than the future of mobility. The event\u2019s new format makes it possible for us to welcome local and international speakers while shining a spotlight on Quebec businesses that have developed different kinds of electric vehicles and technologies for commercial vehicle electrification.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

      In light of the global pandemic and in keeping with recommendations from public health authorities, this year\u2019s edition will be articulated around online activities including talks, webinars, panels, networking sessions, virtual booths, livestream interviews and collaborative workshops. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

      The official opening ceremony will take place virtually on October 27, 2020, with the theme of managing and operating\u00a0ground\u00a0transportation fleets. A number of distinguished guests and speakers will take part in the launch, including the Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Pierre Fitzgibbon, and the Qu\u00e9bec Delegate to Chicago, Martine H\u00e9bert. Representatives\u00a0from our\u00a0partner cities\u2014Keith Todd Kerman of New York, and Kevin Campbell and\u00a0John\u00a0Wedel of Chicago\u2014will take part in the opening panel entitled\u00a0\u201cCities present their electrification objectives.\u201d\u00a0The panel\u00a0\u201cCities\u2019 commitment and electrification strategies to minimize fleet-related environmental impact\u201d\u00a0will feature Mark Stevens from the City of Sacramento and Brad Salazar from Denver.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Some twenty businesses used our exhibition zone to showcase different types of vehicles, technological solutions and concrete solutions for electrifying and connecting fleets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

        Quebec\u2019s smart and electric transportation cluster rallies the entire sector around joint projects aimed at positioning Quebec as a leader in developing and implementing land transportation systems that promote smart and electric modes of ground transportation.
