{"id":10533,"date":"2025-05-29T16:54:50","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T16:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/propulsionquebec.com\/?post_type=ressource&#038;p=10533"},"modified":"2025-06-04T15:32:38","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T15:32:38","slug":"impacts","status":"publish","type":"ressource","link":"https:\/\/propulsionquebec.com\/en\/nos-ressources\/customs-tariffs\/impacts\/","title":{"rendered":"Impacts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"component component-heading\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impacts on the zero-emission transport ecosystem<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-paragraph\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Over the past few months, Propulsion Qu\u00e9bec has been conducting surveys to better understand the impact of tariffs on the ecosystem and companies in the zero-emission ground transportation sector.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-list\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"component component-list-item\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<li>57% of companies in the sector export to the United States;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-list-item\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<li>95% of companies have manufacturing inputs from the United States;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-list-item\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<li>83% of companies are concerned about the impact of tariffs on their business. The main expected impacts are reduces sales, postponed or cancelled investments, loss or reduction of contracts with US customers, and reduced competitiveness on the US merket (February 2025);<\/li>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-list-item\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<li>37% believe that tariffs on steel and aluminum will have a major moderate impact on their business.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-spacer\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component-quote\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"component component-paragraph\" ><div class=\"container\">\n<p><em>&#8221; The automotive industry, including zero-emission vehicles, is highly integrated, and Canada and the United States would benefit from continuing to build on a North American value chain. Our shared economic and national security depends on it.
