Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Communications and Partnerships Officer works closely with coworkers and external suppliers to plan, organize, run, and assess the communications and marketing activities of the Propulsion Québec smart and electric vehicle cluster. As the successful candidate, you will coordinate the production of various communication tools, corporate documents, and multimedia content and manage the company’s social media. You will also help draft agreements and reports for financial partners and handle press and government relations with the help of external suppliers.


The position of Communications and Partnerships Officer involves tasks related to both strategic development and execution. As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Work with the Communications and Marketing Department to develop and implement communication strategies and initiatives related to Propulsion Québec’s mission, working groups, and projects
  • Develop content for and design, produce, and distribute communication tools for various target audiences, particularly for some large-scale events
  • Manage and produce content on various digital communication platforms (Web, social media, E-newsletters via Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Help draft various funding requests and accountability reports and develop visibility grids for funding partners
  • Keep Propulsion Québec in the press and in the public eye by developing and spreading key messages together with external service providers
  • Oversee the work of various suppliers and negotiate communications contracts
  • Ensure that funders, sponsors, and members get the visibility required under agreements and according to the recommendations made by the working groups
  • Write and/or revise various internal and external documents
  • Assess the impacts of various communication strategies (press monitoring, Google Analytics, member feedback, etc.);
  • Perform any other related tasks


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications/public relations
  • A minimum of four to six years’ experience in public relations, communications, and media
  • Concrete achievements producing corporate documents, multimedia content, and events (e.g., newsletters, websites, activity reports, etc.)
  • Excellent writing skills in French and a good working knowledge of English
  • Highly skilled in the use of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent understanding of content management systems (CMS) and ability to engage people on social media
  • Knowledge of computer graphics software an asset
  • A solid understanding of the smart and electric transportation industry an asset

  • Comfortable planning and delivering multiple projects on time and on budget
  • Flexible, independent, positive, driven, and a good team player
  • Demonstrates political and strategic acumen, good judgment, and an attention to detail
