General description
Data scientists design and develop the architecture of the IT tool used to process big data generated by electric and smart vehicles. They also create and implement algorithms for autonomous driving applications. This is a forward-looking job that will be in high demand in the coming years due to the ever more prominent role of artificial intelligence in the transportation sector.
Examples of tasks and responsibilities
- Design and develop the architecture of the IT tool used to process big data generated by electric and smart vehicles
- Compare different versions of smart systems and generate a report on the latest metrics
- Manage a big data hardware and software environment
- Evaluate data and identify how it is related and correlated
- Use specialized big data and business intelligence tools to translate a customer’s needs into a knowledge extraction and analysis system
Required skills
- Knowledge of data processing and big data architecture tools
- Ability to understand business needs and complex situations
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, ML, R)
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence or an interest in learning more about it
- Ability to understand mathematical models
- Strong sense of analysis and logic
- Ability to create innovative solutions
- Concentration skills and a knack for diligence, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
